The synonym of charm and elegance |
Many people consider her to be eternal queen of
fashion. To me, personally she is a real heroine, a woman who I admire for her
courage, outstanding achievements and noble qualities.
“Success is
most often achieved by those who
don’t know that failure is inevitable.”

Revolution in style of a woman |
She came from nowhere and from illegitimate child, who
reinvented her whole childhood; she became the queen of fashion,
revolutionizing women’s style forever.
Her life motto was:
“Simplicity
is the keynote of all true elegance.”
Coco and her pearls |
Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel became a legend in her time
and never faded away. Her name came to mean emancipation as she turned the
meaning of fashion upside down. She
invented sportswear for women, costume jewelry and little black dress. Gabrielle
gave permission to women to wear trousers in order to feel more comfortable while
riding a horse.
“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”
- Coco Chanel
New definition of fragrance |
She was the first woman who had courage to replace floral
scents with new, synthetic fragrances. The introduction of her perfume conquered
the world of fragrances and became an icon. Gabrielle named her perfume Chanel
No. 5, as number five was very special to her, signifying spirit and mystic
meaning. Marilyn Monroe used to say that
Chanel No. 5 was the only thing she wore to bed.
“Fashion
changes, but style endures.”
- Coco Chanel
Her living room at Ritz hotel |
She was known as extraordinary lady. In order to
satisfy her appetite for luxury and fine furniture, she used to live in
spacious residences with gardens. She even hired people to decorate her house
from top to the bottom and fill the library with the books she should read.
“Some people
think luxury is the opposite of poverty. It is not. It is the opposite of
vulgarity.”
- Coco Chanel

Little black dress |
Despite having many love affairs, she became wed only
to her business. Her work was her escape from reality and the past, and her
triumph. Although she became an essence of new decade, she died at the age of
eighty-eight as a rich woman, internationally known but very lonely.
“If you were
born without wings, do nothing to prevent them from growing.”
- Coco Chanel
Always a real lady - the truth to her own |
